Jessica Hensler is associate administrator for the Valley Health System and has been with Universal Health Services for six years. She has more than 15 years of professional experience that includes health care, marketing, advertising, project management, architecture and lean six sigma. Ms. Hensler spent 2½ years as associate/assistant administrator at Desert Springs Hospital, during which time, she oversaw several departments, including rehab, EVS, dietary, security, therapies, plant operations, cath lab, GI lab and pharmacy. In addition, Ms. Hensler has led the clinical quality/lean improvement and employee engagement teams, oversaw the capital budget, and assisted with daily management of staffing.
Prior to Ms. Hensler’s time at Desert Springs, she spent three years as a member of the performance and process improvement team. During this time, she was part of the Emergency Department Capacity Management Initiative, managed the initial Meaningful Use effort, and assisted with the development of PPI toolkits.
Prior to health care, Ms. Hensler spent more than nine years in marketing and advertising. Jessica earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno.
