Avi Schlesinger
Avi Schlesinger received his BA in Economics, and MBA from the University of Toronto. Prior to forming his own consulting and medical billing company, Avi worked for a business management firm in Los Angeles, and at Eli Lilly as a Financial Analyst. In 1990, Avi formed Practice Management Group, which provided third party medical billing and medical office practice management consulting services. PMG’s billing expertise was focused on surgical billing for both Academic and private practice physicians. PMG provided billing services for over 400 physicians at UCLA, University of California, Irvine, St. Johns Hospital, and numerous private practices. In 2005 Avi sold the billing and collections division of PMG.
Simultaneous with building the billing portion of the company, Avi assisted with the formation an orthopedic group in Las Vegas 19 years ago, and remains the CEO of the group. Nevada Orthopedic and Spine Center, LLP is now one of the largest orthopedic groups in Las Vegas with 16 physicians who cover every aspect of orthopedic sub specialization.
In addition, Avi is working with Accountable Care Organization’s as one of their lead specialist groups. Avi also serves as an Officer of the Board for the Nevada Statewide Health Information Exchange (HealtHIE Nevada) that has been formed to integrate all aspects of medical care in the State through the development of an integrated health record coordinating physician practices, hospitals and all other healthcare providers in the State. Avi is also Chairman of the Board of Camp Ramah, a non-profit camp serving over 1,400 children a year.
