Important Message Regarding Shutdown of The Nevada Health Information Exchange (NV-HIE)

HealtHIE Nevada would like to clear up any confusion that may have arisen after it was revealed that the Nevada Health Information Exchange (NV-HIE) will shut down on Feb. 7.
HealtHIE Nevada is not affiliated with NV-HIE and remains an independent, private, not-for-profit health information exchange. Our organization would like to reassure everyone who uses the system that the decision by NV-HIE does not impact HealtHIE Nevada’s operations.
HealtHIE Nevada has a deliberate sustainability plan in place and is positioned for continued growth and success in the coming years. We are not reliant on state or federal funding to operate. Every major hospital system in the state uses our health information exchange system. Our system is safe and secure, allowing health care providers to access and transmit information in an effective manner.
While our organization is disappointed to see NV-HIE shut down, HealtHIE Nevada remains committed to serving our community and providing it with the quality care it deserves. HealtHIE Nevada looks forward to continuing to serve as a catalyst for improved health care outcomes in Nevada.
